Piper the ballerina

Since coming to Pampa Ive been surrounded by people – some were merely curious, some were transient, and some have taken root in my life to the extent that I don’t remember a time I did not have them to laugh with, cry with or rant with but all of them have been warm, friendly, and welcoming. Miss P’s mom is one of those people who has grown on me, taken root in my heart and become a part of my life I cant imagine being without. We plot murder, laugh over my trips to walmart and compare deodorant and recipes for brownies. Thank God for friends.

Sweet Miss P turns four in a few weeks, and Im honored to have been able to capture these last few days of being three.

Lights, Camera, Cat?

Unwilling to let 5 hours of prep for a newborn session go to waste when my little model fell ill, I found the next best thing…Im loving the new studio lights! Who would have thought?

Since arriving in the USA just over a year ago I have been on a bit of a prop collecting spree… These are just  a few of my new toys.

Remember, its never too early to book your newborn session!

Valentine’s

That time of year again, I love and hate it but these two are so excited by it. Jess needed valentines for school, so we put our heads together and this is what she came up with – Im amazed at her creativity and confidence. Maybe growing up in front of a camera wont scar her after all.

Not to be left out, Carmen turned on the charm in her Christmas dress that she was too sick to wear at at the time.

Honey Im home…

Its been a year since we left South Africa’s shores and I said goodbye to my Johannesburg studio. We made memories together and I miss it but its time for new things… Id like to introduce you to my new space, like everything here its “Bigger and better in Texas!”
